We have gone through the years this week looking at how music was played and the technology that was used. Mrs Beasley and I can remember having a yellow walkman sports cassette player.

Then going on to CDs, MP3 and now Smartphones. How are CDs played? What is an MP3? Cassettes first came out in 1963, then CDs in 1982, then MP3 in the 90’s. What did the first smartphone come out? What is a vinyl record? How do you play a vinyl record?

  1. What a fun topic! Theo and I chatted about this on our journeys to and from school this week. I can remember recording the top 40 on a Sunday night on cassette!

  2. On the way to school this week Etta asked me to play ‘Wham from the Olden Days’ on my phone. I guessed Last Christmas but she was quick to correct me that they were wearing pink t shirts and singing ‘Go Go’! We had a great sing along!
