Apologies we’re all over the place this week with Christmas. I was going to apologise for not having a phonics video for you this week. We have had a technical hitch and will have one next week. Then I realised I didn’t share the link to last week’s one! So here it is although I know some of you have subscribed to the channel (and made Miss Hudson’s day!).
Please note there are no new phonemes until after the Christmas holiday now. This week will be lots of blending and segmenting to read and spell and next week we will be assessing to get a really accurate picture of how everyone is getting on.
Hopefully you will have found the ‘tricky words’ and a covering letter in book bags this week. If not it is sat on our desk and will come home on Monday. There are lots more tricky words so we will gradually get them out to you once your child is confident with the first set.
