We read a book Publishd by DK called Forest, Finn and Skip’s Rainforest Adventure by Brendan Kearney. DK Publishing had chosen Skipper 1 to see what they thought about the book and the affects of deforestation on our world. For example trees are being cut down and sold to make furniture, paper and cardboard. Stumps of tress and plants are burned away and cleared so that the land can be used for farming. Cleared land is used to grow palm trees to make palm oil.
We need to use less paper and recycle or reuse things so that fewer trees need to be chopped down.
Buy things with an FSC logo. Thius means wood iused to make it was resused or grown in a special forest where there is less damage to animals’ homes.
