When we were asked to choose a DASP citizen from each class I had a firm choice in my head straight away but was mindful that it’s the children’s choice not the teacher! It turns out great minds think alike and when I asked the children for their ‘nominations’ the first name that came up was the lovely young man you see receiving his award today. Then it came up again and again and again!
Henry has been an absolutely super member of Skipper Foundation. The children recognise what a kind boy he is with his name coming up time and time again in our nominations for different reasons. Children know Henry will be the first to look after them if they have hurt themselves, will be an exceptionally kind friend if they’re feeling a bit sad and is a reliable member of the class. The adults recognise how thoughtful Henry is and appreciate it when he does little things without being asked such as picking up some litter outside and bringing it in to put in the bin. There have been occasions when Henry’s kindness has taken the adults’ breathe away. Henry is a gentle soul and we are so pleased this has been recognised by his classmates too.
